LinkAbilities is a nonprofit resource which expands the work force by connecting employers, job seekers with disabilities, and support services. We serve as a resource for the Greater Nashua area by forming unique community partnerships to provide training, guidance, and information to fill employment gaps. In addition, LinkAbilities offers fee-based technical assistance to other regions of the state hoping to create successful training programs and initiatives that lead to the employment of individuals with disabilities.
LinkAbilities has created a variety of sector-based trainings and youth initiatives in development and in practice, which are designed to move individuals with disabilities into competitive employment. LinkAbilities is also leading the charge to develop a unique and viable plan for individuals with disabilities to develop their own successful small business start-ups. All programs are developed in partnership with community and business partners, and are designed to be sustainable and available for replication in other regions with training and assistance from LinkAbilities staff.
LinkAbilities also leads the Greater Nashua Workforce Development Coalition and the Nashua Community of Practice on Transition. Services to assist in the replication of these efforts, along with other training programs for job developers, coaches, and staff are also available for purchase by other regions.
LinkAbilities is a project of Gateways Community Services and is made possible under an Agreement with the State of New Hampshire, Department of Health and Human Services, Bureau of Developmental Services, with Medicaid Infrastructure Grant funds provided by the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services under CFDA 93.768.
